Meet our amazing team!

Our mission is to foster a love of learning and provide a space where pressure is removed, overworked minds can unwind and everybody can ‘just be’.

At the core of all Artlet programs and workshops is self-development, self-reflection and self-love. More than ‘just an art class’, our workshops and incursions are purposefully designed around art processes, play and exploration to strengthen resilience, build confidence and release stress. Artlet is passionate about facilitating creative learning experiences that nurture and develop the wellbeing and social and emotional capabilities of all children.

Using creativity as a mode for supporting and strengthening social and emotional development, wellbeing and learning of young people is my absolute passion and number one goal as a teacher, mother and designer.

Since I was a child I have always used art, craft and creative projects to relax, express myself and support my, somewhat high, emotional and mental needs/energy. As a teacher I also love to sprinkle (okay, pour) creativity into every lesson possible - yes, even in maths!

Throughout my 15+ years working across education, I have witnessed the immense beauty and benefits art, design and creativity play on shaping and enhancing development, wellbeing and learning. Knowing this, I was driven to increase creative opportunities for children both in and out of school and provide more creative outlets. So in 2019,  Artlet was established.

My vision for Artlet is to provide creative experiences where children can feel confident to express themselves, let go of external stressors and enjoy learning and socialising in a fun and safe environment - free from expectation and judgement (and that’s including from themselves too!). Our children face so much pressure and are already driven by results at such a young age, so Artlet is a space where stress is minimized and young creators can both lose and find themselves in creativity.

Across the years Artlet has continued to grow and we are passionate about designing and delivering workshops, incursions, programs and parties to schools, OSHC providers, early learning centres and in our Oxley studio after school and in the holidays. I love welcoming new families and supporting children as they grow, so please feel free to get in touch and sign up to our next block of workshops because I’d love to hear from you!

Hi! I’m Elise.

Fav colours: green, pink and blue
Likes: quality time with family and friends, food, walks along (croc-free) beaches
Dislikes: spicy food - but I wish I could handle it

I have worked with George since 2021 But I have actually been with Artlet since the very beginning in 2019, attending workshops with my little boy. Sadly You won’t see me helping out at workshops anymore because I moved up North with my family but rest assured, I’m still working with artlet remotely and Am the face behind many of our workshop emails!

I have a wonderful family and great friends And My favourite thing to do is spend time with my boys and Hubby, who always get up to mischief And keep me on my toes.

What I love most about working with children is that they have fresh minds and perspectives, so when it comes to art and seeing little people creating and experiencing new art processes for the first time, it brings so much joy to see The wonder and curiosity that is in their eyes.

I also love that no matter what art looks like there is always someone who can enjoy it and there is always something for everyone, which can also be said about the workshops and programs we offer here at Artlet!
