Create & Connect workshops focus on PROCESS over product and PROGRESS over perfection.
Our workshops encourage all participants to think independently, trust in themselves and have fun as they experiment with art processes and make new friends.
This is definitely NOT a copycat I-do you-do class.
-
Over eight weekly workshops, our Create & Connect program focuses around a NEW theme each term. Our young artists explore and develop various drawing and painting techniques while also focusing on a specific media each term, including: collage, printing, textiles, construction, clay.
-
Gaining inspiration from the world around us, as well as a variety of modern and classical artists, we experiment with and apply creative techniques and processes to develop our own one-of-a-kind creations and bespoke designs. Our Create & Connect workshops promote positive self-development and respect.
-
Each term is different and NO WORK is mass produced, copied or imitated. Other artists simlply inspire us. We are firm believers of process, discovery and independent thinking, which is beneficial to the healthy cognitive, emotional and social development of our students.

Through our VALUES…
…we can ACHIEVE
A brighter future for our young people, where open and judgement-free conversations surrounding mental health can be had without stigma, self-doubt or fear of rejection. We want all children to grow up believing and trusting in themselves, their instincts and their skillsets, knowing that it’s ok to love themselves and talk about feelings.
Safeguarding our learners
Safeguarding children is our top priority. Artlet implements a Child and Youth Risk Management Strategy and follows strict risk assessment procedures for all workshops. All Artlet employees hold current Blue Cards (and exemption cards) and have completed compulsory Student Protection training for the schools we work within. Due to the therapeutic nature of art, we are aware that practical workshops may trigger various responses or traumas of students. In the event that personal or confidential information is shared during our workshops, our employees are trained to respond appropriately and report information to your school in accordance with mandatory reporting obligations and Student Protection guidelines.
